Traffic Guide

Seatbelts

Seatbelt
  • Wear your seatbelt at all times while driving.

  • All occupants of the vehicle must wear seatbelts at all times, including passengers in the front and the back.

  • Failure to wear your seatbelt can result in hefty fines.

Drinking and Driving

Safe Driving
  • Do not drink alcohol and drive

  • Alcohol can stay in the blood stream for up to 12 hours. Drinks from the night before can show up on breathalyzer tests and land you in a lot of trouble.

  • Tokyo Supercars staff members hold the right to reject and cancel bookings with no refund if the clients are suspected of being under the influence.

  • Tokyo Supercars also reserves the right to carry out a breathalyzer test at any time if the clients are suspected of being under the influence.

Cell Phones and Driving

Driving safety
  • Do not talk on the phone or text while driving

  • If caught doing so, you can be charged a hefty fine and in some cases may face jail time.

  • Tokyo Supercars provides ample time to get photos and videos of the supercars, so please do not take unnecessary risks while driving.

Speed Limits

Speed limit
  • Please respect the speed limits on all roads

  • In Japan, speed is measured in kilometers per hour (km/h)

  • In general, the maximum speed allowed on regular roads is 60km/h, and 100km/h on the highway (120km/h on some)

  • Be on the look out for speed limit signs which look round with a red circle surrounding a number such as in the photo above.

Traffic Lights

Traffic light
  • Do not ever run a red light

  • A flashing yellow (amber) light means to proceed with caution

  • A flashing red light means you must make a full stop before proceeding, it carries the same meaning as a stop sign

  • If you see a traffic light that is red but is showing green arrows, this means you can proceed but only in the direction the arrows are pointing. They essentially mean a green light in the specific directions. When you see a green arrow, the direction it is pointing in is allowed even if above it there is a red light.
